New steering wheel - installed
My E90 had the standard non-sport steering wheel, and everybody kept telling me how the steering wheel is the most important part of the car I decided to change it.
Since the Sport wheel is around 800 € with airbag and stuff - which is more than I was willing to pay for a new steering wheel - I went an alternative route and got my wheel tuned for 160 €. Today I got an email, that the wheel has been shipped and a picture of it. Since I'm exited about this, I thought I would share my excitement with you: here it is! More pics to come after I have it installed! What you guys think? EDIT: It arrived today. So much nicer then original. Can't wait to put it in the car! EDIT2: Installed the new wheel yesterday. The difference to the standard wheel is like night and day. One of the best investments in the car since I got it. Some random shots: E90 without steering wheel Comparison between the new wheel (left) and an BMW standard steering wheel (right) Here it is!

Thats nice! My steering wheel its not even the sport one since built datein Jul/2005 in my car did not come with sport kind. Weird, I have sport and premium packages except for steering wheel.
If anyone has one at a good price I will consider buying one. |

Thank you Thanks I ordered it at www.meinlenkrad.de in Germany. I wanted them to make it thicker, with these "bumps" for your thumbs, m-power colored stitching and the marker at 12 o'clock. I can't tell you anything about quality yet, but on this pic it looks exactly as I have imagined it. So they did a great job I guess. Price includes shipping to Austria - and it took them 7 days to get this done. Quote:

I would love to have the M-Sport but since I have the standard wheel I would have to change the airbag to... and that's pretty expensive. Quote:
Thanks, I thought I would be a nice detail. Thank you

Wow, I wish there was someone that could do something like that in the US. I would love to get an M3 wheel to replace my factory sport wheel but I don't want to give up the heater (I have cold weather package and do drive my car in the winter.) I guess AGLA could probably do it but I got a quote from them to redo the leather wheel on my Jeep that made my eyes water.

It should . Didn't read a single bad thing about the airbag fitment on the german forums, but I will know exactly after I have installed it. Quote:
