335i E92 -17" or 19" for city driving?

Couple months ago I have swapped my OEM 18" wheels from 19" 313 style with non-RFT Verdestein Sessantas - love the look and handling... but not the comfort!

Given 95% of my driving is 30mph limited city driving, and the roads are not that great (especially in Central London with all potholes and road works) I have started thinking what could be done to improve the situation. 2 options I came up with are:

1) Leave the tyres but change the wheels for something lightweight such as 19" OZ Ultraleggera
2) Or change wheels and tyres altogether for 17" OZs and something comfortable (i.e. the smallest that could fit)

I do not do motorways or tracking and wanted to the car to be a bit of GT rather than a hardcore sports car so all thoughts and recommendations are much appreciated!

Well this is purely a personal choice. I would stay with the current setup because it looks good and its free.

It does and indeed my only concern is that I would pretty much need to pay again for new wheels / tyres and perhaps it would make sense to look into suspension instead.

Have read good things about Koni FSD but did anyone have any experience with them? Or better still to look into tyres / wheels set-up first?

i went with lightweight 17s (apex arc-8) and it rides like a pillow and tires are cheap compared to 19s

Based on your requirements I would go with 17" rims like Apex (9.0 et30) square and get RE970AS or similar tires. These rims are very light, concave, affordable and look great. I have 9.5 et35 square set-up and love them. OZ is also nice but I read some reports that they are not very strong and if you are driving mostly in the city there is an increased risk for potential damage.

Thanks. Wouldn't 9.0 be quite wide as factory set-up is 8.0 front and 8.5 rear?

Bad luck with Apex in the UK - don't think anyone sells them here ...

Garage List
I'd go back to 18s...best of both worlds.
