Lemans E90 COLOR/TIRE/WHEEL size question V710 V718 BM160 M310

I'm considering:
VMR wheels: V710 & V718
Competition Style replica BM160
Avant Garde: M310

Since I believe that I want gunmetal, I can't go with BM160 and M310 from PSY.

The two VMR wheels are avail in gunmetal:

- 18"x8.5" ET35mm Front
- 18"x9.5" ET45mm Rear

Recommended Tire Size is:
235/40/18
265/35/18

But I have:
225/40/18
255/35/18

Will this negatively effect tire wear?
Will this negatively effect cornering?
Any other comments would be appreciated.

Not as important: color

Initially I wanted silver, then I realized with Lemans, the gunmetal and even hyper silver deserves consideration.
I'm leaning towards gunmetal now.

My car
I have black grills and shadow line trim pkg, so the door trim is black.
I have a very light window tint, around 50%.

Lemans, wearing gunmetal. I think this is a nice color combo:
(first two images are VMR 710)

I've read all the threads on the color question. I'm more concerned with the question regarding tire size. Thx

i had the VMR710 Gunmetal with my Montego Blue 335d had them replced cause i wore out my tires

correct me if I'm wrong... trying to read between the lines.
you had the 225 and 255 tires with 8.5 and 9.5 wide 18"s and it wore out your tires?

I am getting 18x8.5 and 18x10 with 235/40 and 285/35 and was told there will ne no fitment issues.

I will have to stick with 18x8 and 18x9, instead of 18x8.5 and 18x9.5.

which means, most likely BM160 from psy

You can easily run the 225s and 255s on our wheels. We've had plenty of customers run this combo. We recommend a 235 and 265 stagger, but customers who want to reuse tires they already have are welcome to do so.

As far as the finish goes, hyper silver or gunmetal would definitely look great. Gunmetal would add a bit more of an aggressive look, while silver is a bit more understated and subtle.

Considering that I'm only going to run with oem sport or performance suspension.
Aggressive, but not obnoxious.

For an LCI, you would want ET 35 front ET45 rear. Pretty sure VMR doesn't make ET40 for 9.5" wide wheels

Now I'm leaning towards f14 now!

18x8.5 +32 / 18x9.5 +35 was recommended.
+35/+40 offset is possible BC they are made to order.
But you're suggesting 45 r, which was my original thought.

You should be ok with anything ET 35-45 in the rear depending on tire size and if you lower

Rye, have you considered Apex EC7s? I think they are considerably lighter than those listed above while similar in price and appearance.

F14s are nice, but remember there is a wait if you want them for the spring.

Cssnms has dialed ink offsets pretty nicely, you may want to PM him (pics here)

Thx for the suggestion. I didn't go with any of the wheels I mentioned.

I did get 265/35/18 and 235/40/18 pilot sports and "other wheels" not from a sponsor here though unfortunately.

I did consider the ec7 for a while, though. A good choice based on weight and cost.

I will say the offset should be lowered a lot! Or you will def require spacers if you desire aggressive!
18" wheels?
I have et35 front on 8.5
and et45 rear on 9.5
I think another 5mm would be good.

Thanks for the pics! It looks great! I was thinking of going with front 8.5 et35 w/ 15mm spacer and rear 9.5 et33 w/ 10mm spacer. I think this will fit since I'm stock height.
