Procede A/F Ratio Log

Below is a tail pipe test using my LM-1. It was an uphill (on ramp) 3rd gear pull starting at around 2500 RPM to just before redline. The X-Axis is in seconds; I need to get that tach input sometime.

Anyway, thought I would share. I am not sure if it is correct though but things feel fine. Anyone recall a link to one of Vishnu's plots for comparison?

I found one plot for comparison and my fuel curve seems more like stock. It doesn't richen up nearly as quick, which could be influenced by the location. However, it does end at about the same value as the below.

Anyone else with a comparable plot?

I am a bit concerned about the cliff effect in the curve and looking for comments from Vishnu or other's plots to compare against.

Completely normal. I don't know why you are concerned.

Thanks Shiv, not overtly concerned. I design and implement industrial control systems and absolute confirmation that everything is correct seems to have been ingrained in me. Initially the curve looked a little weird to me but my tuning experience with this vehicle has been limited (obviously since I have only owned it for a few months and the Procede has been installed for a whole 26 hours). On my previous B5 S4 I have an increasing richness but no steps. In the my own E-Manage (harness and tune) build on an intercooled and supercharged Acura CL-S, it made the best power using a very flat A/F curve (370 WHP on only 7.5 PSI boost).

I always want to make sure everything is operating as it should. I can see by the CPK and MAP signals, since they are intercepted and re-transmitted, that they are fine otherwise I would set some codes and/or have a rough running or non-running vehicle. But based on the single connection to the Procede for both O2 signal, I would have to assume there is something in the bulk of the harness, maybe a resistor or two or diode(s), etc. I just wanted to be sure that things were working as they should since this portion was not exactly In and Out like the other signals.

In addition, if I ever really feel there is something wrong, I can do some more logs and compare to known good data which I have now acquired. Thanks again for the confirmation. I will be having a bung welded upstream soon but wanted to have a quick connection test initially.

On another note, what was the richest you saw the stock system would run? The drop into the high 11's:1 was pretty much assurance that things were occuring with the alterations to the O2 signals but am still curious.

Looks off to me up to 5000rpm, maybe it's a sensor issue? It's on the passanger side tailpipe? If you're bored pull one of the secondary o2 sensors out and throw the wide band sensor in there for a cleaner signal.

Yes, this is on the passenger’s side. That butterfly would throw things off a bit. Heck, I know it would throw things off some even after opening for a moment.

As mentioned, I will be welding a bung and running more tests. This was just meant as a preliminary.

Fwiw, the o2 sensor needs to go DEEP into the tailpipe-- especially if the car is moving on the road. Unfortunately, he muffler design does not allow for this--hence the reading delay in he measurements.

Thanks again, just getting the baseline and as mentioned, will be adding a bung up front soon.

I am just using the Innovate exhaust clamp which protrudes about 3 inches in, at best.

I don't know where you get 5000 RPM as the chart ends at over 10k. Last time I checked the N54 doesn't spin, nor would I want it to, that high.

I suspect that drop occured around 3500 RPM actually.
