pump stops again before full

2nd week in a row. I fill it up in Jersey because it's 30 cents cheaper per gallon, was 2.639 for Ultra 93. Since it's full serve in NJ, I really can't tell the guy to keep pumping because it's really not full. If I did that, there would very likely be a spill all over the car, plus they're not supposed to top off.

So for kicks I wanted to see how much more it needed to be full by doing self-serve across the river. 2.2 gallons. It stopped around the same level last week as well.

This happened to me the first time I ever filled. I have also heard other forum members at Bimmerforums mentioning this. However, it hasn't happened to me again since tank 1.

Had the same issue, next time I filled up, I waited for it to stop on its own, then I let it sit for a minute, after that, another 2 gallons went in. I wonder if there is like air built up or some gas settles someplace and the nozzle resets itself, no big for me, I'm usually washing the window so it stops on its own, then I put the other 2 gals back in.

i dont know if this is the problem, but for some reason if i stick the nozzle all the way in it will stop on its own before the tank is full. if i pull it out some it keeps going until full.
