Good dealership to buy/install M perf exhausts?
So the online website says that the estimated price to buy and install M performance exhausts for my dealership is about $1,700. That's a good $400 more than what I was expecting/want to pay. Anyone know of any dealerships in the tri-state area that won't rip me off? Thanks.

CCA discount will net you 20% off parts and labor, that's $340 right there.

Would any dealership actually install an exhaust you didn't buy from them? And wouldn't they then just rape you on labor?
I'll look into the CCA discounts, but still, considering ppl have gotten it for like $1200-$1300 at port, would be great to find a dealer that can come close to that, then still apply CCA discount lol. |

Last week Mtown had 35% off parts, so maybe around the holiday the deal will come back.

getbmwparts.com is tischer bmw, I got my performance exhaust from them for cheap. But you do have to pay shipping costs but the exhaist was 975, took it to my buddys garage and had them install it.

Kinda off-topic, but will it mess with the warranty if i purchase the exhaust online and have a local exhaust shop install it for me (and not the dealership)?

your welcome man, you could always pay for shipping, still be cheaper then buying it from a dealer.
As long as its a bmw part, I dont see why they would void anything, I didnt have any problems and no one ever asked me about it. ALthough one dealer gave me shit about it when I went to trade in the car, the next dealer didnt even notice.

I'm pretty sure
I read/heard somewhere that having BMW parts installed anywhere than by BMW certified shops will only carry a 1 year warranty, while if you have it done at a dealership it'll be extended to the length of your car's warranty. I'd rather pay that extra bit for installation and no have to worry about having to pay thousands out of pocket in case some dick dealer tries to use that as an excuse not to honor the warranty. |

Are they just bolt-on? If so, maybe a DIY install would be possible for a novice... (?)

A bolt on, but there is cutting off of the original muffler.
