What is in your opinion, the best sounding aftermarket exhaust for e92 335i?

I kinda like the stock sound. Not sure why everyone wants to ditch the stock exhaust.

Stock sounds pretty nice when compared to the 535xi, which sounded more tamed when I test drove it. However, I'd go for the Eisenmann Meisterschaft for more rumble when I cruise down the highway at 4am

+2. Most likely i'll get downpipes which will net me great gains and make my exhaust sound louder, but still retain the same tone.

I think that the stock is exhaust is nice for what it is, a stock exhaust. Overall I think that it is too quiet for my taste though. It has a nice tone, but its way too tame for me. Right now i'm leaning towards the Eisenmann Meisterschaft with SR pipes, but I would also like to hear the bastuck exhaust once the full system comes out.

Anything other than stock gives the appearance on their audio clips of a lot more drone on cruising.... I want sound on acceleration but zero drone...

You can search as Ryan at Eisenhaus has explained the difference in detail, but basically the Race version is loud throughout the RPM range and many have said that it drones a decent amount, while the meisterschaft sounds a little more tame down low and when cruising, and opens up when the car is given some gas.

Have you looked at the Milltek exhaust? That seems very tame, not even very loud when the car is WOT so it doesn't seem that it would drone.

I hate drone. Ruins the car experience. I don't know how anyone can live with a droning exhaust...

I am very happy with the Magnaflow exhaust that was installed this week. Amazing sound at idle all the way up through the revs.

Believe me, from past threads of mine I've messed around with exhaust and in the end it's Borla. Nice and gentle with a little growl when you want it. Zero drone and when cruising it holds a great tone. If your in the market for a Vishnu exhaust however, let me know, I'll make you a smokin deal. It's had about 4 hours of driving on it...
