V2 shipping/firmware/map questions

Hey shiv,
just wondering if you shipped any v2's out today if so would you care to share how many?

2. Will you be releasing the v2 firmware on vishnutuning.com?

Right now, I'm just waiting on the final version of the user software. It's fully installable and will replace the current v1 user software. It will also have all the parameters for user-adjustability and firmware upgrading fully functional. Should have it done within the next 2-3 days. At which point, we'll post up the instructional docs (which I'm writting right now), v2 maps and ship out the first batch of v2 harnesses.

Just a $2 9-pin serial cable. And a $23 Radio Shack Serial-to-USB converter if your laptop doesn't have a 9 pin serial port. FWIW, the firmware updating process through the user software has only been tested with the Radio Shack USB converter. So it is advisable that you purchase this particular brand to save yourself potential hassle. We chose Radio Shack since everyone seems to live within 5 miles of one

Technically I would think it would, but even if it doesn't there are a few things you could do. Easiest is to run VirtualPC or VMWare, both work well and can capture the physical serial port from Vista.

Or 15...really. All .4 to 4.9 miles away. Something about that makes me sick.

Guess I better get over there before they sell out. So, where is the current ETA at?

www.newegg.com search for a usb to serial, if you don't like Radioshack as an option.

+1 LOVE that newegg.com

I've bought virtually every piece of electronic and photography equipment I have ordered over the last 3 or 4 years from newegg.com
They're fast, usually have the best or close to the best price, and good customer review data. I check newegg.com first for anything i am looking for.
