If you think AFE engineered it to help performance, then go for it. For $500, they should've included that damn thing!

I got it for my stock air box and afe filter. Not sure if it does anything but for 40 bucks I bought it

I got it for $35 shipped thinking if it did nothing, no big loss. At full retail, I could find other things more proven to spend my money on.

not sure what big changes it can make, i thought the faster your car is going that you are already gathering more air into the intake, because the air will hit the intake at the same speed as hitting the 'scoop'??
i reckon it looks good in red though, i had one on my old E60.

resurrecting this post, I recently installed some Rigid Industries LED spotlights on my 435i. They're really small but I'm unsure with how close the light sits next to the air intake scoop (Around 5 cm), and I'm not sure if I'm getting less air in or not, so considering the AFE to ease my worries. Would the AFE solve that problem? If not, I'm just going to take them off and install them on my Land Cruiser.
