12.53 at the private track

well the air is soooo cool, approx 57 so i spooned on my bfg dr on the spare rims and headed to my private track. 12.53 @ 109.6 and the other run was a 12.55 @ 110.3! there is no doubt that good air makes a difference.
the car clearly feels like its pulling harder then it did at atco when it went 12.56 so..........
yes i know that that its not offical but thought i'd share it w/u.
i will be heading to the track this sunday and the air is suppose to be excellent. ive gone 12.56 @ 108 w/horrible air so im thinking .15 to .20 faster then my best.

me too but i wanna see what 1.4 does with good air.
ever 10hp should net approx .1 so......that might be slightly high as the car is getting in a faster territory so......the above rule is for 12 13 second cars.......with that said V2. should be very intresting.

orlly?

From BMW:

"2008 BMW 335xi Coupe
An AWD option will be added to the BMW 335i coupe when it launches the BMW 335xi in the first half of next year. The 300 horsepower twin-turbo straight six will remain unchanged but with the added traction can beat the manual transmission and automatic versions of the RWD 335i coupe to 60mph from rest by 0.1 seconds and 0.2 seconds. Manual 335xi coupes take 5.2 seconds to reach 60mph, while auto models take 5.3 seconds."

0-60 doesn't say much. AWD is generally slower in the quarter because of the drivetrain loss and lack of power on the top end.

he was also on DRs so he probably accelerated to 60 just as fast.

0-60 is very traction dependent... 1/4 mile is not. And with DR's, and a good hookup... who needs AWD on a drag? not until you start spinning the back wheels...

BTW, the xi faster to 60 thing is a myth... :

What size BFG dr's are you running? Is your car an e90 or e92? Those are some great times, I need to start hooking up like that, wheel spin is killing my 60'!!!

Keep us posted when you go back to ATCO.

I'm going to Rodney's track day and open house on the 5/6th Oct. You coming down? He says the night of the track day is import/vs domestics as well.
