Turbo Tuner review

I got my turbo tuner today and had to go out and install it right away. First off I have to say this is without a doubt the easiest and best mod for the money that you can do to a car. The dollar per HP is a bargain. The MAP sensor is very easy to get to and with my big mits it was a one hand job.

I used some advice I saw on this site and just got a penny and pushed it up under the tab, I was able to then pull out the plug with one hand. 20 seconds later I added some very nice HP.

Took the car out for a drive and it didn't take long. One push of the pedal and it was very evident I had added some nice power to the car (I wish it was this easy on my M3). The torque difference was so noticeable on the car it literally pinned me in my seat. The main issue I was concerned about with was driveability, no issues what so ever it was just like stock but with much more power. Very slick device that does exactly what it says it will do.

I watched my oil temps and I don't know why but they were cooler by about 15 degrees. Perhaps the fuel enrichment makes a difference. Regardless I would recommend this modification for anybody with a 335i. It is such a relative bargain compared to other modifications. I lease this car so for me this was my clear choice.

Nice job Eurobahn and Split Second

Welcome to the Turbo Tuner revolution!

If you've just installed it, just wait - you're going to be even more impressed in a day or so.

+1 on the car running cooler.

Oil temps cooler by 15 degrees? Remarkable! What did the oil needle sit at before and where does it sit now?

After the engine had fully warmed up, mine used to be 110-115 C (230-239 F), now it's 105-110 C (221-230 F). I have the oil cooler.

I read somewhere that oil doesn't flow through that external cooler until 240 F. So perhaps it's never been used!

firstoff congrats on the tt... excellent device.....can't possibly go worng with that choice.... i had started a thread earlier asking why my oil temps actually go down while i push the car past it's limits....somebody, i dont remember who, told me that it was my oil cooler kicking in to cool it down...so the oil is actually getting hotter than it was before but the oil cooler is working hard now to keep it down... i dont know how much of it is true

The car is so freaking fast, it got faster as the day went on. It absolutely launches out of the hole. I really can't imagine needing more power than this in this car for a daily driver. It was comical to watch peoples faces as you launched at a stoplight and how quick 100mph came up.

Thumbs up Jeff this is a great product with no side effects. Hands down the best bang for your buck mod you can do. Believe me this is coming from a guy who has spent a lot of money to make my M3 faster than this car, nothing was cheap and the tuning has been a struggle.

This drive like stock only with much much more power. I actually was making the tires squeal on launch with AWD. I would love to do a side by side with a Porsche TT and see how close it would be.

How can the car possibly run cooler? I thought the TT did nothing but add boost?
