Can anyone help with JB4 logging?

I recently installed a JB4. The car pulled HARD for the first day. Then one of the recirculating valves decided to blow out of the boost tube. I reinstalled it and didn't think much about it. However for the last few days the car hesitates under heavy acceleration and has thrown a CEL twice. Idles and drives normal under low boost. Even performs well under the stock tune. I did notice that the recirculating valve is looser in the boost tube. But notmsurenifnits actually leaking or not. So can anyone take a ride and scan for faults and log a run? Thanks in advance.

FYI:2007 e92 53,000 miles, all normal maintenance done. No other mods.

I scanned for faults with a very basic scan tool. Only fault was P0303 (cyl #3 misfire). There are probably more factory codes, but that's all it gave me. Plugs + coils to start?

A misfire could be due to a fouled plug from a leaky injector which is what happened to me on the same cylinder. Anyway take the plug out first and post up a pic

Keep track of which plug went where... The cylinders are number 1-6 1 being the most forward cylinder and 6 being the furthest aft.

I was running on #1 primarily. I ran #5 a few days but have had issues on all settings except stock. Stock pulls well and almost completely smooth. But as soon as boost goes higher then stock, it begins to misfire.

I'm pretty sure it's your ignition coil or spark plug, most likely the ignition coil since my car reacted the same way before even though I changed the spark plug.

If you need injector, spark plug, coil replacement/installation, let me know. I'm willing to help you replace them.

Check your plugs first it's free! Take a pic of plug number three and post it in here if it's wet that means your injector is leaking so both your injector and plug will need to be replaced. If it looks like all the rest of your plugs then you can look else where but I have some good used plugs you could have and use for troubleshooting purposes. A coil although unlikely could cause a misfire as well but it would be more prevalent. When a coil goes bad it's rarely an intermittent issue.

Ok I feel dumb. I took the ignition cool of of spark plug #3. I have a 12" 3/8 extension on a thin wobble and a thin walled 14mm socket. It will NOT fit into spark plug tube to get plug out. What am I missing?

It's not a hex socket... You need the correct socket that had the torx-like pattern. Ecs sells them, as well as Amazon.

Serious!? My 12-point 14mm fits right over the new plugs. I was certain that was it. Anyone have the socket I can borrow? I really don't want to do the Leavenworth drive with a misfire

Yuriy helped me put the spark plugs in tonight and the car runs great! I replaced the #3 coil also just in case. Filled with 45% E85 and drove around for awhile. After 20 minutes I jumped on it a few times and its a beast! I think BMS down pipes will finish me off for performance mods
