What do you guys think of the ams FMicwill?

Going to order an fmic this weekend. I am leaning towards the ams bc the price is right and I like the end tanks. Having said that I want a great ic and don't mind spending more if the benefit is there. How is the insall with ams? Any owners care to chime in?

Dude the AMS is a great FMIC.

Each type ER/helix/HPF/ETS etc all have their own unique pros and cons, but really at the end of the day you cant go wrong with any of them as they are all much more effective then the oem item!

I have an ams as like yourself i loved the beefy cast end tanks and its been great

install isnt that bad. some easy cutting w/ dremel. passenger side coupler can be a pain to get right but that is hardest part. also, make sure you have good tools for ratchet access to coupler band clamps or it will be tough to get good seal.

keep it mind that it may be possible to remove the metal bands on the oem couplers with a screwdriver (pop them off) rather than cutting them. i believe the details of how this is done can be found in the install manual for the Cp-e intercooler on bms' webpage. i cut mine but would have tried this if i had discovered pre-install.

ams is a solid intercooler w/ good customer service. ^+1 whatever you choose at between the aforementioned should get you to where you want to be.

The AMS FMIC is awesome, we have sold quite a few and have yet to hear of an issue.

The thin plastic air shrouding that sits in front of the FMIC, you will need to cut it out for any FMIC over 5" depth.
