ride quality 17in vs 18in on 320d sport

I m regretting getting just the sport, and not giving in to temptation and the m sport hence i only ve the stock 17s alloys
Part of the reason was the potential brittle ride quality on larger alloys ( I only ve passive suspension)

Any kind souls out there who ve the 397s 18in fitted on their car, any thoughts on the ride quality?

I have 18" wheels and the ride is superb, least harsh BMW I've had for years, its very 5 series like. Its even better than the Audi A7 I had a few years ago

I can't fault the ride quality, even when set to the the harshest setting of sport.

Mine is a 320d Sport with the 397's and Pirelli P7's and I have no issues with the ride quality at all.

I haven't driven any other F30 so I have nothing to compare it to though.

i too ended up getting a sport with stock 17" rims when an m sport would have been my ideal.

originally i thought the 19" 403m's would be a bit harsh and i would have been more than happy with either the 18" or 19" m sport wheels.

a deal came up on the 19" 403m's first and i was amazed at how comfortable the ride was, not harsh at all. in fact the 19" bridgestone tyres were a significant improvement over the 17" rims! a sharper but smoother drive.
and though i initially preferred the look of the 18", the 19" are much better in the flesh than in most pictures imo.

really nice fit!
looks sleek especially in your colour!
unfortunately I never be brave enough to go onto 19s! I love my tyre wall too much!
they are quite a few sets of 403ms kicking about on ebay but quite pricey

Thanks for all the feedback, I m more convinced of getting the 18s now! I think the set comes with continental, not had good experience with them, had them on my 1st gen mini cooper s, they were harsh! mine you this was 8 yrs ago!
