How much negative camber did you folks get in the front of your cars after installing H&R Sport springs? I'm considering doing this project, but the goal is to get some negative camber up front. What is your experience?

I don't have an answer to your question. However, within the next two months, I believe there will be at least two camber plate options for you (ie., Ground Control and TC Kline). I'm not certain, however, whether they would require a coilover set up or whether you could run stock. If you are interested, you may want to call them. Two others who may be out with camber plates in the coming months are AST and Vorshlag...but not sure on any time table for them. Regarding Vorshlag, one of the main guys there just chimed in on our camber plate thread indicating they are moving up their plans to for a camber plate on the F30: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=800665

Thanks! My bmw dealership tech, who builds and campaigns bmw's with NASA, tells me the strut top design is going to make camber plates really tough to do on the f30. As a result I am looking for another option...if somebody does it, I can always add them on later.

The lack of camber destroyed my 'kook z-214's so I want to find an interim solution. The lower control arm from the e90 M3 was the right shape and length, but the bushing end was just that little bit too fat to fit in the chassis. Maybe a moderate drop will get me just enough to help without destroying the street ride quality? Worth a shot IMHO!

K-MAC has offset center control arm bushings that push out the bottom of the tire for more camber...

I can't seem to find the thread right now but I saved the part numbers in a doc on my desktop in case I lost track of the thread so that is paying off now. :-D there are some factory pieces you can put on to give you some more negative camber. here is what I cut and pasted from the thread:

Part # is the same across the line-up (335i, 328i, standard/sport/adaptive)
RWD
31-21-6-854-199 left -30min $211.19
31-21-6-854-200 right -30min $211.19

I was not one of the guys that got to run them, but the guys who did said the performance was WAY off top notch tires. The grip of the compound was not there. Additionally turn in and road feel was pretty poor. I can query the guys and see what I get back for you.

Got one bit of feedback back already. I was correct on the compound. He also said that they required a lot of camber on the car as well to work, which sort of defeats what you are probably looking for.

I had eibach spring with oem camber bearing, down to -1.7 on front.

so if I get a camber kit front & rear with good run-flats or none will be better ?

Hi,

In pursuit of more camber but using OEM parts has anyone got anymore info on use of F8x M3/M4 LCA and TS on F3x series front suspension to push bottom of hub carrier further outwards ?

Attached photo of underside of new M3 - looks v similar.....

Comments/advice most welcome.....

According to Realoem, m135i comes with -30min swivel bearing as standard.

Std fit Mich PSS outer shoulders have softer compound hence wearing quicker and why I'm keen to dial in more negative front camber.

Keen to know if F8x LCAs etc are the oem solution .....
