You need to check to see if you have an electric of pneumatic boost solenoid. It's on the other side of the engine above the turbo. There is a picture of it on the BMS website. If you have the one that matches the BMS picture you are good.

For downpipe, there are only a couple on the market, I believe the ER catless and the Challenge catless and high f low cat. I went with the ER and love it. It is a bit louder but sounds good and you can definitely use it on a daily driver.

Same deal with the intake, only a couple on the market, I believe AFE and Injen both make one for the F30. Also there are a couple drop in filters available. All can be either dry or oiled and have different cleaning/oiling requirements. I ended up going with an AFE drop in until the BMS intake is ready. I heard its in the finally stages and should be available soon.

If you are in front of the car looking at the motor, it is on the left hand side. Connection with the split loom is the top.

I just installed my JB4 stage 2 in F30 335 today, European version.

I cant find the solenoid in the left side. I do find similar one near the IMAP.

So I plug the blue cable in it, did I do the right thing?

Here is the image.

Can someone help?

Thanks

So if you don't have the solenoid what options do you have for a tune?

Same as before actually. You can use the JB4 without that connection. Stage 1 actually tells you not to connect it. Stage 2 could go either way. There is a slight gain by using it but not sure you'd notice it unless you're going all out on mods.

What about the guys running Map 7 with e85, do you need this solenoid for that?

Logically, the answer is yes but the car may be making less boost. I say logically, since Stage 2 would otherwise be useless if it required that connection for any map besides map 1.

When Terry released a recent software update he said the update was specifically a tweak for those cars with the solenoid connected.

I'd ask BMS if you are concerned, I'm sure they are willing to answer any questions you may have. There are people running it without the solenoid connected for sure though.
