Used for less than a month. Mainly got it to compare with other tunes. The thing I liked the most with this mod is the great throttle response in comfort mode! I can help install it if you're in the area. PM me for more info! Sometimes I don't get the emails for subscribed threads.

Info from aFe:
Quote:
Put up to 52hp and 60lbs. x ft. torque to your N20/N26 today! The aFe Power SCORCHER Module is designed to alter the pressure sensor signals to increase turbo boost to an optimum level throughout the entire RPM range. The result is a harmonious balance between power, throttle response and drivability. This module provides a hassle-free installation with no cutting, drilling or splicing required during the 30 minute installation time. Factory electronic accessories are not affected by installing the Scorcher module.
SOLD!!!!!!

I compared it to the bms stage 1. Like what others have already said in this forum, the scorcher gives you more of a kick in comfort mode which is the mode I drive in the most. My work is only 4 miles from my house so I don't get on the freeway The stage 1 seems to be more aggressive in sport mode. That's about it in terms of differences. The aFe is slightly easier to install and looks like more of a professional product. The BMS has an extra wire for me (n26) and looks like it was made by hand in a garage. The BMS worked great though, same with aFe. Just selling both of them now to help buy some other none car related things. I sold the stage 1 a month ago to use the aFe for my daily commute. Will probably try out another (maybe hartge or kelleners) tune once I have the extra spending money.

The fuel injector failed, had nothing to do with the tune-BMW even covered the engine under warranty. So no-the AFE tune did not blow the engine.
