3 week old F30 328xi with swirling?
I picked up my car 3 weeks ago and use the right cleaning materials. I use Meguiar's California Gold Wash, California Gold Carnauba Wax, California Gold Spray Wax, Aluminum Wheel Spray, and microfiber towels. I saw a swirl in the front hood area of my car to the left of the badge. I thought it would go away once I washed it, but I washed and waxed but it's still there. I was wondering if I needed to polish the car too? I've tried using spray wax to take it off but apparently the swirl is "protected" by the wax. I'm new to this and really don't know what I should be using...
Also, I wanted to know what small cosmetic mods I could do to the car without making any dramatic changes to it. Thanks and sorry about the iPhone pictures |

You probably need a one step paint correction. Most cars come from dealers with swirls at best, many have deeper scratches. Seek out a paint correction

I second contacting Phil at Detailer's Domain. He's the resident expert.
As for small cosmetic mods, I'd say black grill, color matched reflectors, and lip spoiler. Nice car btw!

Yes, I'm sure you can just polish it out yourself. Just make sure you use the right stuff and follow the right procedure. Contact Phil and he'll get you setup with the right products to use.

yeah you may need to polish it out, what could have happened was the dealer did not polish the car out prior to delivery, most dealers will glaze the car. After a few washes the glazes will wear off and you will find imperfections.
Dealers are not paid to do paint corrections, they want to deliver a front line ready car. LMK how I can help. Phil |
