Useless SatNav

Hi all....I know the F30 satnav has issues but on several occasions it will get me to my destination just great only to try and take me back home using a completely different and nonsensical route. Anybody else had this or am I missing something?

LOL - Don't think it's just the F30, my old E90 Sat Nav's (2 different cars) liked to take me up north by going an hour in the opposite direction to the M25 first!

Became a standing joke!

My Tom Tom used to do that regularly, I guess it could be traffic related to certain times of the day etc?

Would have thought it would be traffic related. I was happy with my nav the other day - guided me round a jam on the A64

Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah suppose it could be traffic related but it sure wants to take me some dumbass routes....always seems to be on the return journey...I've even been within a mile of the right motorway going home and it still wants to take me all around the houses. I've turned off the traffic info for now to see if that will make a difference.

Also by default its set to eco pro route and not fastest/most direct.

Don't you love it when it says by going ECO route you'll use -5% fuel, even when it is a the same route.

I always have it set on fastest/most direct route...I know that...pity the satnav doesn't !
