The E63 is a rocket. A highway roll would be more interesting though. It looks like the M5 went from 100-200 km/h faster than the Mercedes did

False competition since Quattroporte is same size as a 7. Better comparison would be with the Ghibli. However a Ghibli GTS model hasn't been announced yet.

Quattroporte may actually be a pretty fair comparison.

While the cars size is more similar to the 7, it actually weighs a couple hundred pounds less than the M5.

Less power and softer tranny in QP really shows.

Waiting to see AMG-S & M5 CP go head-head.

Yes with baited breath. I think I will install DPs and a tune just in case...

Is there any talk of next-gen M5 having a 4wd option?

Or do you think ///M division will always favor rwd?

yeah but no matter how close the specs are you still have to like the car you are driving. The quattroporte is too expensive and the mercedes just does not do it for me visually. The M5 is beautiful!

I'm with you brother!

Went from M3 to C63 4 years ago due to size of family. My first 4-dr car. Looking forward to delivery of 2014 M5 in September.
