Tires, Springs, or Coilovers?
Hey Guys,
I am pretty inexperienced and ignorant when it comes to chassis modifications. I need some suggestions. My M sport came with Good Year run-flats, and I have heard great things about Mich PSS 2 tires. I want to do something to improve the chassis/ handling in general (not that it's bad) and am also considering getting coilovers or just springs. Note: I like the 18 in wheels that come standard with M Sport. - I do not want my car too much lower than it is now - I don't mind a rough ride, willing to sacrifice comfort for agility - I do not know the exact function of coilovers (don't worry, I am about to google it/ search the forum but if anyone feels like explaining the value in a coilover kit especially in comparison to springs, it would be much appreciated). I don't have the money to get coilovers and tires. Might be able to do springs and tires but I am not sure. What would you guys suggest? I am alright with my ride a little closer to the ground but I really like the look of it currently. Thanks! |

Tires are your answer, go with Mich pilot super sports in 235 45 18 and 265 40 18 and you will be a happy man.

OK your best course of action is this, go to getbmwparts .com and order the M Performance suspension for the F30 they sell it for 1555 shipped it includes struts and springs and will lower your car by only 10mm but the struts are calibrated for the drop and will make a world of a difference, then go to tirerack .com and order mich piolt super sports in 235 45 18 and 265 40 18 if your going to do a square set up then go 245 40 18 will be around 1000 bucks. So for 2500 you will have one heck of a car!

Appreciate the advice guys. I'll probably start with the tires and then hopefully get the Mperf susp once I have enough $ for labor depending on how much I could have it installed for. |

Get it done at a local shop it will be way cheaper, I did a full suspension on my last BMW myself and took me about 4 hours to replace 4 struts and springs.
