22hp from a tune??? This can't be real...
Just came across this link. They claim a 22hp &28ft lbs torque improvement over stock. Why does this sound waaaay too good to be true w/o any other mods?

Hey, if you can't trust Smokey's Dyno shop, who the hell can you trust? Dyno is probably calibrated for the domestic crowd, who like to see numbers. Big numbers.

literally lol'd at this comment. I was thinking the same thing about the legitimacy of "Smokey's Dyno shop." I'm sure they've keyed into something that AA and other big time tuners just couldn't grasp....

http://www.smokeysdyno.com/bmw.html it also looks like they do custom tunes for each individual car on the chassis dyno. A custom dyno tune can give better results than a "one-size-fits-all" tune like the typical AA, because the tune is specific to your car. Not saying that AA is bad in the least, but even AA would tell you that if you could bring your car to their shop for a custom tune, the results would always be better than just getting an off-the-shelf-flash. Just because you haven't heard of a shop or tuner, doesn't automatically make them a poor choice. |

I would go with AA just because of their reputation but there are no local dealers in NorCal anymore. Then I heard of this last week and it's in my area. Anybody heard of this group? http://ecutuninggroup.com/company-profile "increase 28 hp claim"
