Hi... My Oil change light is kinda ON and OFF. However I checked the service info in Dashboard and it shows 9000 miles. So I am kinda confused if I need to do an oil change right now or not.

The oil change sign lights up when the temp is too hot...

Appreciate any advise.

Is it the oil change light, or the oil level light. Check the oil level (manual), and add 1/2 quart if low.

There are at least three separate indicators for problems with the oil (low, really low - red, and something else that escapes me.) They are all indicators that show up. However, the oil change is a service indicator, and you have to go through the check sequence to discover that it's due.

If you have a yellow oil-can, you need to add oil, if it's a red oil can STOP DRIVING. I suspect that you have a yellow oil can and need to add oil, not that you need to change oil. The oil can doesn't illuminate for oil change intervals AFAIK.
