JBD on 320/328d

Hello,

I just sent a few emails to the good people at Burger Motorsports and have been told that the JBD should work just fine on the 328d. I know the 328d just came out in the US and the 'enthusiast take rate' isn't that high, but has anyone tried JBD on a US-spec car yet?

I bought a 328D with M package for my wife 2 weeks ago. What a great car, but could use a little bit more power for sure. I may try this option as it's pretty cheap.
I have to say first time driving a new 3 series and the electric steering sucks, no feeling whatsoever, not very happy about, but everything else in the car feels great, also impressed how big the car is.

Well, it's not like we have any other option over here. Not sure a dealer would be able to order, and be willing to install the 320d PPK on a NA car.

Drive the car in Sport Mode, you should feel a difference. BTW any pics of your ride?

I should be picking up a 328d by Friday. Can't wait I agree that it could use some more power. Especially since my current daily driver is a 335d. That thing has loads of torque and decent horsepower.

So far no one has really had anything bad to say about the JBD for the 335d.

I did, still... I believe the sport mode only changes the throttle settings (on the engine side of course)

Sure here are some crappy ones -

The only thing that i don't like in JBD that it's connects only to Common Rail and giving wrong commands to car brains to give more fuel. It makes effect but there can be problems. I didn't see the real Dynos and racelogic stats with JBD on 320d/328d. It can gave a powerbox (pedal booster) effect but your car will drive on the same speed as a stock (0-60 mph).
Some other chip-boxes connecting with Boost sensor.

I just wrote to RocketChip in PA and RaceChip (German, but maybe USA distributor). RaceChip definitely has a tune http://www.racechip.com/chiptuning/b...34kw/index.php and they have a U.S. url, so we'll see. RocketChip does not have a tune yet for the 328d, but I wrote and asked about ETA.

No other/better option we have do we? You were suppose to test the Hartage one so will wait for that before I make the final decision.

I had the jbd on my 335d and every so often it cause a check engine light to come on and doesn't turn off it self so you would need to order the can tool with it.

Used one of these on a F20 125d and the engine didn't like it. Engine occasionally shuddered badly at around 4000rpm with a big loss in power. Felt good except for that.

Any verdict? JBD not working with 2014 F30 328D' North American versions? Anyone tried running it yet?

I believe that BMS no longer offers the JBD for the N47D20 engine in the 328d. Call them to confirm, 'cause I could be wrong.
