Thumbs up Greetings and salutations (new member)

It was a bit unexpected, but just recently I've become the owner of a 07 335i. I wouldn't say totally unexpected, but previously I've been in the world of Audi. The 335i however was a second choice of car if I couldn't come across another S4..which clearly didn't happen. But considering I went through a 08 A4 and a 05 S4 in less than a year due to 1., some idiot running a stop sign hitting some old ladies who lost control and managed to hit me [A4] a few hundred feet away, and 2., deer [S4], perhaps I'm cursed with the rings?! After owning the e90 for about a week now, I REALLY hope I have this car for quite some time. I honestly had hoped to stay in a S4 but with not even a decent deal around, I went for choice 2, and you know what, I don't regret it one bit! Unfortunately there's a few areas that need touched up, but it was a florida car, and I took the chance of getting something I wasn't able to see before hand. All in all though I love it and plan on adding my taste of goodies as often as the pockets will let me. So far nothing impressive, just another stock 335i..but some pics to leave you with

If you didn't get it from a BMW dealer make sure the HPFP was replaced, the injectors were inspected or replaced and battery cable was replaced( all warranty recalls).

Thanks guys. As far as maintence goes, I've done a good amount of reading so I have a decently solid idea of the [popular] issues that can/may happen. However at the end of the day, it's no different from the Audi. There's always going to be minor to major problems with these cars that are more high performance oriented. Although I'm pretty happy I don't have to worry about that timing chain guide failure in the 4.2 S4 that can be a $4,000+ repair job. To boot, I'm extremely meticulous about my vehicles, so I hope it will take care of me as well and not run my bank dry.

You know, I don't mind the silver, I like it don't get me wrong, but I really hope to eventually swap it out for the Piano black, or whatever bmw has comparable. But at the prices I've seen some of the trim going for, I'll probably put that on the back back burner and use that for more important goodies. Although I'm not satisfied with how a couple pieces look; couple tiny dents and scratches in them that make me cringe because they're not flawless like they should be IMO.

You should buy the high gloss black interior trim -- it's like 1/3 the price of piano black and I think it looks better.

Here's pics of it when I had it on my old car:

It's $435 shipped from Tischer: http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

Haha no problem -- glad I could lead someone else to this! I jumped on the high gloss black trim kit about as quickly as you did when I first found it. I absolutely hated the wood and needed it out of my car asap!

I got the same car pretty much at the beginning of August. Very happy with it, and yeah ext. warranty isnt a bad idea. I purchased one and hope that if I have to use it, I dont run into any bs.

Excellent ! Maybe it won't stay on the back back burner for as long as I originally anticipated.
