Reverse Camera/DVD MMI Advice Needed for CCC iDrive
Hello,
I am looking to add a reverse camera/DVD watching functionality into my e90 and I wanted to see what options I have...I have an 07' so I need the CCC version MMI. I know about the Veyron MMI for CCC IDrive on Ebay...thats about 320 bucks. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Veyron-VI-CC...item3a77671a19 Are there any other cheaper options??

In fairness 320 is not too bad for the video input interface and a reverse camera.
There are plenty of solutions out there, but far from cheap. Dension 500+AVR interface etc My advice, make sure you get a camera that goes into the trunk handle, and not the license plate light holder. They use leds most of the time and that will mismatch the light color on the other license plate light. |

ModMyNav has a very nice system that is a nice hidden addition to your stock nav system. Had it in my 2006 E90 325 CCC system, had to get new interface for my 2011 E93 335is CiC system. But love it a very nice upgrade!!!

I would make an offer. There is another UK seller selling just the box and that can be had for under $200 if you make an offer (I got it for around that). And then the camera they use can be bought for $30 or so.
I have a camera that replaces one of the license plate lights. I have LED license plate lights already so the camera light matches. But they also make the camera with LED's that are warmer in color (more yellow) that match the OEM lights. I know because I had a camera like that at first and it totally didn't match. |
