Everything you expected?

Is your E90 everything you expected so far?

So far, my E90 is everything I expected. I only have about a little under 2K miles. The handling is great. The build quality is great. Definitely better than my previous TL.

What I didn't expect was the software updates not fixing some problems. I'm still waiting for the update to allow mp3s.

Everything exceeded expectations actually. Very satified with the performace and handling. One thing that annoys me the most is the ticking sound caused the the heating/cooling ducts on the rear shelf. Other than that, the new E90 is great. And one last thing, there seemed to be too much road noise from the run flat tire. I don't mine engine noise but road noise from tires is not something that i prefer. On the other hand, the E46 had more engine noise and way less road noise from the tires.

After driving 2 E46 330cics and an M3 in the last 2 years, I am very, very happy with my E90 330i (granted it has only been 2.5 weeks).

The build quality seems excellent, the engine and transmission are absolutely amazing, the gas mileage rocks, it is comfortable, handles great, and looks hot.

Mild negatives:

-The rear taillights are ugly. Yes, the Blacklines will improve looks, but it is still a cheap, Japanesque design.
-The cupholders are all but useless. Granted, I do not really use them, but they are way too shallow, small and far away.
-The interior design is a little boring, and the flat dash still makes me think of a 1980's Crown Victoria...but it is growing on me.

All in all, I think BMW did a killer job with the new 3er. The engine and tranny almost makes up for any shortcomings it might have.

Exceeded my expectations.

Agree with other posts as to noise of runflat tires. Otherwise, this car has made me a very very happy man and a BMW customer for a long time (my first BMW).

There isn't really anything to complain about. It's more than I expected. It still impresses me when I punch it at a stoplight and realize I'm going 60 mph about 6 seconds later.

Thumbs up

Very happy!

Minor irritations include:

1) A/C fan noise seems overly loud from medium on up.
2) Console storage small and positioned too far back.
3) Window controls on driver door too far forward.

Otherwise the car is absolutely perfect.

Completely agree with your #3. I don't have the longest arms, and I have to mildly strech to reach the controls for the front windows. I think this could be really bad for small and short boys & girls. What were they thinking? Some sadisitc Bavarian engineer thought- "Let's really f--k with them...we'll take the controls away from the center console, and move them so far forward they won't be able to reach them. Yeah, that will be soo funny". He he he

No, it's the opposite because people with short arms don't sit far back. I'm 5'0" and the window controls are perfect for me because I need to have my seat all the way forward to reach the clutch pedal.

This is my only complaint about the e90's styling ... the tailights are just pinched and awkward looking. Too be perfectly honest I don't like the styling of the e90 much at all. But how often am I looking at the car while I'm driving it? As a package, it just can't be beat.

Window switches are perfect for me, I like a lot of leverage on the clutch so I sit pretty close.

This car is the best one I have ever had, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way but one: too much tramlining. I guess the sport package accentuates it, but it happens quite a lot.

I love my E90!

The only thing remotely close to a disappointment: I couldn't wait, so it's my fault but I don't think I'll ever buy a sedan again. I don't know, sometimes I like it, but other times I really think I should have bought a coupe.

Btw, I'm a Libra so swinging back and forth is an everyday thing.
