BMW HiFi Kicker 10" Bass Station Install E90

So I head over to my local Best Buy where my cousin works after a while we start talking about cars and about my 328 I picked up last year and how shit the Hifi system is from factory. So he takes me over to the Car audio section at Best Buy and we start talking to one of the installers. He tells me that he'll install a system in the car for $100 with two year warranty on labor and most of the stuff on the shelf has a one year warranty. So I decide to go with one I see by Kicker which has a built in AMP for $250 and a bass knob for another $40...I've ordered the parts and they should be there by next week sometime.

I've searched this site and never installing my own system I have no idea if I did the right thing or not because usually my cars (Mercedes) I upgrade the speakers to Alpine's or Bose systems with larger amps and such.

But I in no way snap necks in my cars with my beats being crazy loud but know a good system when I hear it. Since I found no information about this set up online or clearly on this site, I will keep this thread posted with my experience and shoot a video of the system as well once installed. For under $400 including taxes I hope it helps in the top end of our vehicles Hifi systems.

Here is the link to this product http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kicker-b...&skuId=5121006

Indeed it is 20" long, 13" tall, and 8" from its widest point. I use my boot thus small was chosen.

the only real way to know OP is to try it out. I slowly upgraded from small single sub to huge double sub for extra doof doof. if you dont crank it youll probably find this box is more than enough and gives a nice kick to complement the underneath seat woofers (E90 comes with those right? mine does anyway)

Update two: just picked up the car. For $400 I'm quite happy with the bass, here are some pictures of it finally in and running. I will make a video when I get time.

$250 for a 100w subwoofer setup doesn't sound too good imo...

Sounds good. It has the amp built in, plus a bass knob, and box.

Fwiw I need something per my need and in this car I needed a little more mid level bass and this delivers so far.

that's true. 100w just seems like nothing though. i wish i could hear it in person though. i'm trying to find a smaller subwoofer setup that still sounds good (i like my bass) but doesn't take up half my trunk
