How much power can L7 oem subs handle?!

I am going to be powering oem underseat subs with external amp.

How much power the OEM subs can handle?! It says 70W RMS.

Would they be fine with 70W?! Or can i go higher? Or should i go lower~

Thanks in advance

Don't get too caught up in power ratings. You're going to band pass them between 80 and 150Hz. In that range they can handle a LOT more than 70W. The danger would be if you were running them in the sub bass range, but you're not. Anyway, just because your amp can produce x watts, does not mean you will always give your speakers that much power. If you're still worried about burning up the L7 woofers, get aftermarket ones.

I have replaced my OEM amp with a JL Audio HD900/5. The underseat subs are connected in parallel to the subwoofer channel on the amp. This channel delivers 500W @ 4 ohm. Works great. I have replaced the OEM subs with SWS 8X now, but I had the OEM subs running with the JL amp for a few months. No issues, just way more punch.

Yeah I had mine powered by the xd600/6 which is 75 watts at 4 ohms I believe. Not sure they were getting 75 watts at the time, but they can handle some extra power.

+1 to Kaigoss response.
Its about clean vs distorted signals.
100w clean input will run the drivers brilliantly however 50w clipped signals will harm the drivers.
Usually the drivers can take different amount of power on different frequencies. Most of power ratings are for their average watt intake. So you can give the driver more than its rated power provided the condition that signals are clean and crossovers are correct.
An example is that I run sws-8 on 200w but since my signals are clean (gain and crossovers are setup properly), I get clean quality sound.
