Not heard of anyone managing to get this sorted - will ask my contact at my dealer and see if he knows if it is possible,
Failing that, you could buy a coding cable and software and have a go at changing the parameters yourself. Seems to be quite a few threads offering advice on how to change some of the 'software' on the car. |

According to BMW: All new BMW M models have the “Last user mode” as the default setting from production.
MY 2014 vehicles produced from March 2013 to and including June 2013 will be delivered to the dealer with “Last user mode” as the default setting. If yours does not have the last user mode enabled, point your dealer to SI B12 15 12 Attached is the official response. |

I have the 1200 this week and have asked for it. If (as I suspect in advance) dealer turns round and says "que? Cannot do", I can do it myself through coding CAS => 3000 => TC_MSA_MEMORY => aktiv. Or if want it off permanently:
CAS => 3000 => TC_MSA_DEFAULT_OFF => aktiv |

Dealer programmed the stop start to be in the same status as it was at last shut down.
The code change they made was CAS => 3000 => TC_MSA_MEMORY => aktiv Dealers don't have e-sys software so done through a PUMA submission to AG with VIN no and that emails them back a work plan when they connect the car to ISTA. However, they would not do it as a warranty claim so charged £50. I don't care about the £50, but if I'd known in advance, I would have done it myself in 2 mins for free. I had to autograph an invoice to say that I understood fuel consumption would be increased (duh....) and that BMW AG had been informed and that to sell the car I had to revert it to standard again. Save yourself the faff and cost and DIY it in the CAS module. I had to explain in detail and give them the SIB to get them to do it. Last edited by rjn21; 10-26-2013 at 06:10 AM.. |
