what insurance company are ppl with?

evening everyone

my car insurance is up for renewal very soon
and I was wondering who people are insured with
as my alloys are aftermarket and I have heard
Adrian flux are the only company that would
replace like for like in the event of a claim.
currently got my admiral multicar with them
down as a modification.
also if people use them and have a separate
breakdown cover who is that with please

thanks a million

Adrian flux. Got me a modded premium not much more than partially modded on admiral.

Edit : aflux : Cobb, birds b3 suspension and arb, and LSD.

Admiral : quoted for Cobb and LSD at £50 each extra compared to not modded, but got wigged out over the suspension for some reason because it was not lowered and they didn't have a button for arb on their computer so needed to get an under writer to quote and came back with silly premium. Lol.

Chris

Edit admiral will insure you to drive but you are correct won't reinstate extras in the event of damage if I remember.

as i have found out to my detriment this year, its not about the broker, but the Underwriter.

I'm through Sky insurance, but the policy is underwritten by a company called Markerstudy.

at all costs, i would advise anyone to AVOID any policy's underwritten by these jokers, nearly 6 months down the line i am still waiting on a decision about a motorcycle running into the side of me on a roundabout, useless call centre, little to no correspondence when chased, and basically just a nightmare to deal with. Google would seem to agree with my treatment and sentiments on them as well

through the IAM with some Lloyds underwriter due to an sp30 - oooh naughty

wife is with RSA for her M135I with me as a named driver, sp30 didn't bother them. Direct line, who she used to be with, acted like i was jimmy saville's best mate when we declared it at renewal

flux - i wouldn't with your dick, having fucked us around with young driver insurance quote giving the impression it was a comp policy only to find out it was TPFT when we telephoned.

children are with Direct Line and LV building up their own NCD and policy history

was once with admiral but they are market value from day one with a brand new car, where as many are replacement up to 12 months and the farmers one NFU - is two years following write off except theft.
admiral are ok but you might need a gap policy as well as they are tight on values

start with one of the comparison sites and work from there but flux can flux off

Comparethemarket.com will give you the cheapest, if you're not declaring mods etc...

I got the cheapest eat quote -> went to the companies site directly & used the same details & it came back with a quote £200 more than what I got on comparethemarket!

If with Admiral, call them saying you got a cheaper quote & they will give you a £70 discount!

LV for me too. Totally standard 335d costs me around £300 a year which seems reasonable considering my previous car (2.2 TDCi Ford Mondeo was around £15 less a year).
