UK Oil

All

I now have just under 6k miles on my car and today I got the message

"At your earliest opportunity put 1 litre of oil into the car"

I asked my dealer what oil I should buy and was advised 10W-60.

This seems to conflict with information on this forum and have asked them to check their information.

Can anyone help here?

Thanks
Mark

OW 30 is correct and approved by BMW UK for use in the S63TU engine of the M5 - check out p.187 of the manual.

I have the service pack but find its cheaper and easier to buy and do myself. I asked at service if they would give me oil but the dealer can only top up when the warning says so.

Do you take yours in for top ups?
