I've got a pretty wide ranging taste in music, aside from rap and Jazz I'll listen to just about anything. By way of example here a few that are on the USB stick in the car at the moment..

Izzy - My Love Is Like a Red Red Rose
Nightwish - I Wish I Had an Angel
DJ Sammy - Boys of Summer
Nickelback - Animals
Tracy Chapman - Fast Car
Bellefire - All I Want Is You
Mindy McCready - You'll Never Know
The Cardigans - Favourite Game and Erase and Rewind
Triniti - Rose on Water
Roxette - Queen of Rain
Era - The Mass

As a bonus, specially for Carlos, Julian Bream playing both parts of a duet - Boccherini's Fandango

...and we mustn't forget these Viv!

Lately I am really getting into Aqualung:

I also have a lot of time for Radiohead, especially this track:

Of course there is only one Johnny Cash (everyone should listen to this):

And what about The Shins:

Sorry can't post links from this computer, but.....

My faves are everything from:

Ian Brown (a true legend - check out F.E.A.R from the Album Music of the Spheres and really listen to the lyrics - when the penny drops you'll think 'wow'. Well, I did anyway)

Via:
Kanye West
Amy Winehouse - Frank is better than Back to Black
Kaiser Chiefs
Jamiroquai
Hard Fi - Living for the Weekend their best IMHO
David Bowie
New Order - timeless stuff. Latest album outstanding (Waiting for the Siren's Call).
Kasabian - First album (Kasabian)
The Killers
Stone Roses - just epic
Charlatans (older stuff)
The Police
Pearl Jam
Jay Z
Most of the stuff on Hed Kandi's Chill CDs (esp Winter Chill from 2005)
St Germain
Duran Duran

To:
Some of the later Kylie's stuff
And you can't go wrong with a bit of Girls Aloud (or should I say with all of Girls Aloud)

Such a massive amount...

Baroque & Classical: Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Scarlatti, Vivaldi, Elgar, Saint Seans, Barber, Holst, Mendelssohn

Classic & Old School Rock: AC/DC, Motorhead, Deep Purple, Led Zep, UFO, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Dio, Bon Jovi, Rainbow, Iron Maiden, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Guns 'n' Roses, Aerosmith, Y&T...

Newer Rock Bands: Nickleback, Stone Sour, Lost Prophets, System of a Down, Muse, Puddle of Mud, Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, Foo Fighters...

Punk & Goth Years: The Sisters of Mercy, The Mission, The Cult, The Cure, Souxsie and the Banshees, The Damned, Killing Joke, Alien Sex Fiend, Skeletal Family, The Clash...

80s and Synth/New Romantic: Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Ultravox, Gary Numan, ABC, Japan, Talk Talk, The Police, Madness, Specials...

Various: Squeeze, Bowie, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Ian Dury, REM...

College years: Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Charlatans, Ian Brown, Electronic, New Order...

Newer Stuff: The Killers, The Kooks, The Feeling, Coldplay, KT Tunstall, Pink, Razorlight, Faithless, Kasabian...

etc. etc. etc.

All of the above and many more on the i-pod.

Music is pretty central to my existence! Each phase formed part of my musical growth! I have very varied tastes, but never really got into Jazz and loathe new so called R&B.

played instruments since I was 4, studied music to Grade 8, played in orchestras, concert bands, brass bands and a variety of rock and pop bands, recorded, gigged etc etc.

I often wish I'd pursued my dreams and ambitions when I was younger and tried harder for a career in music.

Link to short video clip of a recent gig. The track is Cocaine.

I forgot something too. Shameful. Ladies and Gentlemen, please be upstanding for the Foo Fighters. Brilliant, and no car journey is complete without them.

I do struggle to fit them all in my E92 though
