I love confirmation!!!!!!!!!! It's also good to hear that the moonroof will be optional...........because I don't like moonroofs.
....and yayyyyyyyyyy for speed cloth/leather! Love the extended leather option too. |

No info on the transmission, which likely means that the 6 speed is the only choice at launch. Too bad for me because I will definitely wait for DSG or SMG.
Edit: "Order entry function and vehicle spec sheets will be available on DCSnet this week." No price yet. I can't see speccing a car without knowing how much each everything will cost. |

Thats great news. Should be here by spring.
Now, its clear that iDrive and Mdrive aren't standard like the M5. Looks like its going to be way off expectations when considering its price.

My dealer called last Thursday and they received the same specs for the sedan w/build date in January 2007. Options were the same as above with these exceptions and options; - No Carbon Fiber Roof - Definitely a 6-speed, no SMG - moon roof option - cloth leather option - M Drive and Technology package options - 19" wheel option He felt that the car with the M drive, technology package and 19" wheels would be about $75,000. Just a guess. He guessed that the lease rate would be about 7.5% with a 55% residual. So, expect a high payment if you plan to lease.

Individual High End Audio System
All this information sounds great, and pricing should be announced sooner than later. My guess is they will reveal the price at the L.A. Auto Show..
But my question is, even though it is not stated on the documents above; Is there the option for the INDIVIDUAL HIGH END AUDIO SYSTEM? What stereo are we looking at otherwise and how does it compare? Best regards, CSL |

I can't wait for pricing to be announced so we can all set the conjecture aside. |

No way I'm paying 7.5% w/ fed funds on the way down . A rate that high would be worth shopping for finance.

Ok, you guys may already know this but here are a few things I learned from my order confirmation sheet I got at my dealer today:
nav is not std. 6-Speed Manual is the ONLY transmission aval. the Enhanced Sound Pkg, is an 850W speaker and amplification supplement |

It appears US production hasn't started until Jan/Feb, not December.

Correct...I just received notice from my dealer that my M3 is now in Production Stage 112. It was moved ahead of schedule from week 9 (late Feb) to week 5 (late Jan). Still no word on MSRP...I was told BMW is waiting to see how the dollar does because they want to maximize their profit, at our expense of course.
