N54 335i Performance Exhaust
Josh told me to post these seperately so here they are.
I am going to part my car out before sale. I have a mint Bmw Performance Exhaust for sale Its dont around 8k. Thebcar is barely started so has never seen allot of use and the car is garaged every night so essentially its not going to be all grotty from being outside all the time. I am looking for £550 plus your original 335 exhaust. Ill get some pics up shortly. Last edited by CustomColours; 11-13-2013 at 07:37 PM.. |

Better than full price. And a standard exhaust once off is as good as scrap. Ilk keep it on the car if not as its a good selling point. N54 pe exhausts are like gold dust.
Suppose £987 +Vat is better than £600????????? Cheers for the heada up though mate. |

Bmw perfomace part are warranty friendly and insurance friendly. I doubt you eben need to tell them since it is a bmw part. But some goodie goodie will no doubt tell you to tell insurance, even the change of air freshener they will tell you to tell insurance.

One of the issues you have is it's going to be a right pain for most people to remove and send the original part to replace your parts.
You have had offers for the JB4 but don't want to sell that until the other parts are sold too. You're not in a position to sell the stuff and add the inconvenience on top of that, these for sale threads will go round in circles. Guys won't want to part with their standard items as they will end up with the same issues you're having now. I think you need to source your own standard parts and get the parts ready for sale to go anywhere. |

I do have a spare standard exhaust - but the cost of your PE is too prohibitive for me.

If you have watched or sale threads on here and ebay, £500-600 is the normal price range for a used exhaust. People are happy to pay the going rate. The fact your asking for the going rate, plus an exhaust, plus the hassle and costs of shipping, it's no wonder people aren't bitting your hand off. The last bit I find hugely condescending. Aren't you the one having to sell your car as you can't afford it? So obviously you can't afford them either. I bet most guys on here can afford the parts new but have decided against it due to the cost of the items in relation to the value of the car, or being in an M3 or similar with the money spent. There will always be enough supply of used parts not to pay over the odds used. |

I belive Joe's price is pretty fair, he is targetting people close to him for the swap, he is even willing to swap the exhausts for free, mind you this costs £80-£100 (the first time atleast due to the cutting involved) on it's own ? Also the exhausts have only just run in, he's not had it for long, so that counts for a bit too.

So if you get the same response on here and ebay where the market is as big as you are going to get, what does that say? When ever I sell items on ebay, I know roughly what I'm going to get before the auction starts. Most items often go for the same price. I've been on this forum for a few years now and the same cycle has happened countless times. People overvalue their items and cars, especially cars. They get told the worth based on the going rate of previous sales. They don't accept what has been the market value, then months later they are still stuck with the item and it has depreciated even further making their losses worse. You only need one buyer for your car. Hopefully they value your items eniugh to pay the value of the car plus the parts |

I apologise... Turns out that where I saw new ones for sale for £718, there are also customs charges because they're from the states. Customs charges being approx. £200.
