As usual nobody cares about Canada... I guess we can take the american pricing And add 6-7000$ because it is so expensive for them the get the car across the border. Don't Forget destination charge will be twice as much as it is in USA.

By the way where are the canadian people at? I am sure there are plenty of
1,series and 3,series people looking to the 2 for a newer car. Why am I the only vocal one?
The dealerships have this info as they have to put in for builds on their lots. Telling me they have no info yet is pure BS as we have seen australia prices.

On what a m235? We have no idea what other models they are giving us? Same as USA? Can I get a 228i in msport 6mt? Pricing? Packages? Without any Canadian market info how can one put a deposit without knowing more? I certainly couldn't it would be a shot on dark. What about colors? Or is this buying a spot and nothing more?

Yes that is what is, buying a spot. Once info arrives, you can go ahead with the order or get your money. Options should be somewhat in line with what the US has but we'll know soon.

Canadian pricing is a bit more complex as they need to take U.S. pricing into consideration, current and future exchange rate estimates, etc, etc and then the arm wrestling between financial and marketing guys begin (sorta like a Toronto City Council meeting).
But based on current pricing algorithms, expect base MSRP to be in the area of 10% - 14% above the U.S. pricing (depending on base option inclusions) That doesn't include the somewhat higher prices we pay for options or the additional $1500 we pay for Freight/PDI & Admin over what the Yanks do.

BMW Canada actually contacted me via Facebook and said this info will becoming soon. Soon being who knows but that is better than no acknowledgement.
Anyway as far as pricing goes bmw Canada will have to price it competitive with their main competition in my opinion the merc cla/45 and audi a3/s3. M235 would haveto come in under 50k as cla45 is 49k and autos.ca did review on s3 and were told by audi to figure 44k on that. Hell even the c7 corvette is around 53k CDN! So I am guessing 228i in mid 30sk and well dressed to 45k and m235 48k base to 55k+ well equipped. All prices not taxes or their ripoff fee addons.

I was thinking about 36000$ for the 228i And 47000$ for the m235i personally. With the s3 that could be around 44000$ and the cla at 49995$ it would be right in the middle. Still I wish that the m235i pricing could be about the same as the s3. The s3 and the cla45amg both have standart dual clutch transmission and awd area where the m235i fail.

I am 6mt all the way bmw offers that in 228 and m235. The s3 piqued my interest with styling and quattro but a)only auto coming b)won't arrive until q3 or q4 of 2014...outside of when I want a new ride. And the class is frumpy and cheap looking bits for me.

I'll be buying one in Netherlands or Germany and shipping to Canada in the summer. Looks like I'll be changing the oil myself though, or make a 5 hour round trip plus waiting for BMW to change it... Love my E46 but I can't import it and I never liked the E92s. I was leaning towards WRX/STi but for a similar price I will jump all over this.

These guys have the pricing don't worry as they have to put orders out for cars for the lots. And if Australia and south Africa have pricing out then Canada is there too. These guys are just being told no by higher up. That is a diservice if you ask me. In this market a potential customer like us should already know which models and content are coming to canadian market. Audi is releasing the a3 sedan for special viewing at the dealers 1st week of dec all model pricing and specs are readily at hand. As matter of fact Ihave already seen this car when I was in Munich during Oktoberfest and it was pretty sweet. Compared to bmw welt there was no models on 2 or willing to give any info. Both models come out at same time too, just bmw doesnt have enough info for me to go on. What do I have to do wait until toronto auto show in Feb 2014 to actually find out what I want?

My dealer is saying the config tool at the end of next month. First cars built for them start production in Dec for Feb delivery. So, no test driving until then. Start a thread if you actually get detailed pricing out of your guy.

So I went to my local BMW dealer today to inquire on 2 series and as usual no info. However I knew that my interest was to sample the new BMW N55 and N20 engines, as I have not done this yet, having the N52 inline-6 in my 128i. I have seen all the comments on these two engines but had yet to experience what they would be like, so my sales guy took me out first in a 328i sport and then in a 335i, both autos, I prefer stick, but nonetheless.

N20 egine, this 4 cylinder start ups sort of sounds clackity like a diesel. This thing in sport + mode has more than enough pick up and go, I was quickly doing 120kph in a 80 zone. It also has plenty of low to mid-range torque, and this was in a heavier 328i sedan. I could only imagine in a lighter 228i coupe! Exhaust sound was not as vocal as my engine in my 128i but it was ok, maybe a sport exhaust?

N55 turbo inline 6. This thing is a growler, great sound and exhaust note. It will take off in sport +. It has torque when you floor it, but I didn't feel it was that much far ahead of the inline 4.

The 3 steering was fairly light compared to my 1 but no big deal it communicated the road to me. I know this is a comparo with 3 series sedans to the upcoming 2, but this gave me a sample of the engines, and over all if we get a 228i avail with Msport, I could actually live with that.

With the CLA priced at $33K and the A3 sedan @ $31K...any chance that 2 series starts below $35K CAD?

What kind of deals are Canadians getting?

Didn't want to start a new thread if there's already a Canadian pricing thread.

I've talked to a dealer recently and was told that there are no real discounts from MSRP right now, and the lease rates are garbage (i.e. 5.9%).

I'm going to try a couple of other dealers and see if anyone has a different tune, but what have you guys heard?

Any discounts from MSRP on the M235i?
What lease rates / monthly payments have people been getting on these in Canada?

Well took a m235i manual for a test drive today, this is a rocket ship, lots of torque, a pretty tight and taught machine. I was impressed. However I was not impressed by the dealing afterwards.....

Basically no budging at all on price, no discount no waiving of any stupid fees! And they knew via internet sales person that I had carcostcanada! I even inquired what about personal build, very little discount if any! And I am a past customer of theirs!

There must be better to be had in the GTA area I think.

I am not surprised that dealers won't budge off MSRP on this car on it's introduction. Seems to have a lot of demand, and if wants a discounted price, maybe wait a year or so and let the ones who have it "first" get theirs.
