What tires fit 18'' BMW Star spoke rims?
I'm planning on changing my Continental Contisport Contact SSR tires for some all seasons to deal with the winter. I have 18'' star spoke rims (http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/37...CenterId=65775)
I was wondering which size tires would fit these, and which would be best for a f30 328i. Also, what RFTs would people recommend? I'm looking for something that'll last, and do well in light snow (not getting dedicated winter tires because I live in Manhattan, so very little to no snow). My wife's recently pregnant, so my priorities have shifted from performance to saftey! |

You can change your summer RFT tires out for similarly-sized all-season RFTs (the tire sizes are on the sidewalls). If you have the staggered summer setup, it's 225/45-18 front and 255/40-18 rear with 18x8 wheels front and 18x8.5 rear. If you have the same size tires all around, 225/45 width front and rear on 18x8 wheels is the "normal" wheel/tire size for the F30 (the staggered summer tires is an option).
Check Tire Rack or Discount Tire websites for good deals on tires - Michelin, Continental, GoodYear, Dunlop - any of the "name" brands would work well.

Oh probably wrong link, I have 18'' 18x8''s. Would 245/40s fit reasonably? After reading some reviews I think I want to get the Michelin Pilot Sports:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes but they don't have them in 225 setups, only 245. The review mentions that they tested the tires on a 2012 F30 328i, but I'm not sure what rims they used. |
