3 months old and starting to look how I imagined it :)
So, had the M5 now for 3 months and managed to get some pics of it today after a good wash so I could show you all some of the mods done so far
I wanted to stick with the gloss black theme and remove all chrome from car. RKP front splitter from IND painted gloss black Side wing markers replaced with gloss black versions LCi grilles wrapped in gloss black Grilles treated to the M stripes (not 100% sure about these so may remove?) Rear Valance wrapped in gloss black Carbon exhaust tips from Cyba Door handle chrome trims wrapped in gloss black Roof, fin, roof trims all wrapped in gloss black M5 badge replaced with gloss black one (although it's too big for my liking so that will be swapped for a smaller one soon!) Front windows tinted with a 50% film to blend in with the factory sun protection rears Interior door/dash trim strips replaced with piano black Exhaust Meister switchable flap controller fitted today All the car needs now is a set of darker wheels but am struggling to find a set that fits! Already tried some Vossen CV3 reps and Ispiri ISR6, neither would clear the calipers. I know the Breyton Race fit and can get these in Matt gun but really wanted a 5 spoke concave wheel Anyway, have a look at my pics and welcome your views |

Nice looking car, although I am bias as planning to go a similar way (carbon rather than black) with my new car when it arrives in January.
Opinions are a personal taste, but I think I agree with you regarding the grill at the front - an all black one with no M colours would possible look better, meaner and cleaner. |

The section that has been wrapped can be removed separately by taking out about 6 screws. BMW offer an M Performance carbon fibre part which goes over the top of the exhausts and has diffuser fins in between. Take a look on the Ind website for photos of the part. I think they call it rear apron diffuser.
