Looks like Ferrari is now jumping on the Forced Induction bandwagon
This is my first official post in the new section of cars not-directly relating to the BMW F10 M5, but in many ways indirectly relating to it.
I guess Ferrari wants a grab at all the good torque turbo engines offer. Lol! http://www.gtspirit.com/2013/12/19/n...bos-at-geneva/

This was bound to happen. Isn't Lamborghini doing the same too?

Its sad to see Ferrari go to the induction route, but I guess its the only way to go.. RPM is gonna go from 9000 to 7000, but I'm sure they will find out a way to keep the high revving capability.. At least I hope they do...

Sound should not be too big a challenge for them. Maseratis with twin turbos used to sound really nice too though the tail used to wanna swop sides with the head all too easily. Pretty scary those things. FI is forcing many manufacturers' hands these days. With the MP4-12C showing the 458 a clean pair of heels, Ferrari is prob cracking their heads on their next generation V8 offerings. It's FI or high revving V8 boosted by electric motors. It's hard to get much more out of a naturally aspirated V8 esp one that is already so highly tuned! Let's not forget the F40 was FI as well.

Like I predicted in 2003, many will join the Force Induction movement. More power, better fuel economy, and cheaper alternative.
