M4 New Car Order

Has anyone been able to order, or obtain and order date for the new M4. I keep hearing mid 2014 for a 2015 car. I have not found a dealer which can provide a date, much less a price. All I want is a plain Jane, DCT, with Performance Center Delivery. Cannot be all that difficult.

Not yet, but in a heart beat.
The Z06 is a great car, but not a BMW

No orders yet or info/pricing on orders. However if you are trying to get one when they first are released early summer I would HIGHLY recommend you don't wait any longer and get a deposit down at a dealer ASAP

All us dealers know at this time was that we were able to submit to BMW the way we would like our launch cars to be spec'd out.

Jason (owner of the forum) usually gets the info before us dealers do (lol) so keep your eyes on the home page for any updates starting as soon as next week, fingers crossed.

Are dealers getting one launch car (M3 or M4), or are they getting one of each (M3 and M4)?

At least dealers can configure their cars. Back in the E46 days all you got was a LSB car with Grey interior adn when the covnertibles came out Imola Red with black top and black interior.

Guys, I'm new to this forum so making my first post.
I put a deposit down and am number 1 on the list at my local dealer.
I just received a choice of two M4 demo cars currently on order as an alternative to a custom order.
The dealership is getting two M4's rather than 1 M4 and 1 M3.
I have a production number for both cars and have been told March/April as approximate date.
Interestingly on both vehicle spec sheets the USD price is listed as blocked.
Hopefully will get some firm costs after the official launch next week.
Looking forward to the upgrade from my Audi S5 to the M4.
Glad I'm now living in the US, the UK price is crazy as usual!

welcome to the US and to Bimmerpost. Did your dealer say how long you would have to wait before you could find out the price of the car? and just curious what options/colors did you order

Thanks for the welcome Powaup.
The dealer could not confirm when pricing would be available but expects after/during the launch.
I have not committed to either demo yet, still trying to decide if I want to order to my own spec.
One demo is Sakhir Orange with Black merino extended leather, driver assistance plus package, executive package, lighting package, Harmon Kardon surround sound, nav, M double clutch transmission (still contemplating manual, in the UK most people grew up with manuals, not automatic, but with Houston traffic......)
The other demo is mineral grey, black merino extended leather, executive package, lighting package, side/top view cameras, Harmon Kardon, nav....
Seriously looking at the Sakhir orange, my current car is black, I always buy black or some type of silver so Sakhir orange may be a welcome change.

curious which dealer.....I have a preorder in as well.

I plan to order my own car, I have no interest in getting anything other than exactly what I want. though I am after the m3 not the m4.

BMW Houston North
I will probably go with a custom order too as I want to go back to Europe and do the ED. It is tempting to get the first model but will not be 100% to my spec.

Should have the guides this week. Stay tuned. They come out the same time as the USA DEBUT.

From the guide I've seen at the dealer looks I'll be opting for

20" black wheels Mix Perf.
Adaptive M Suspension
USB/Bluetooth connectivity

It had heated seats and Nav as standard from what I remember.

Then hopefully adding that front lip spoiler that was on the concept car.
