An media 335i GT Review, but with a twist (from a forum member)
A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to play with a 335i GT in order to write an article about it on my website. I think I have a bit of a different perspective than some media outlets and hopefully have given the 335i GT the credit it deserves. I’m a car guy and a person who loves motorsports - not a journalist.
I come from the perspective of someone who transitioned from a Honda S2000 which we managed to fit into our family to a BMW 135i. I know, I know. I’ve attempted to blend a story element with the features of the vehicle and my feedback on various elements into the article. I want to thank Richbot for providing clarification, his review of the 335i GT he’s been living with for several months, and other information about the car. I wanted to share it with you guys. My website is a small publication and would REALLY appreciate your sharing it with other people if you like the story in other BMW forums and sharing it on FaceBook. Thanks for the support! Here’s the article: http://goaheadtakethewheel.com/rwrt/...-commuter-car/

One of the few reviews I've seen that doesn't miss the point of the car. Maybe because the point isn't exactly clear at first glance, it takes living with the car in the real world to get it

I am impressed you managed with a 1er, the GT is huge in comparison.
Nice review though, a small error or just bad wording: `This made sense to me as the GT uses the same 6-Cylinder TwinPower Turbo (N55) motor available in the 335i and 328i Sportswagon` obviously no, the 328i does not have a N55 in it. My wife was also ready to buy an X3 (20i) before i could convince her to get the GT (28i) for just a little more. It looks way better, but it also have more space in the back seats which is great for adults ( ican sit behind her and stretch my legs almost all the way ) |

Good catch, thanks!!
On the 135i, I spoke with several from here and got to experience one at a track (coupe). Everyone said and still does on that section that it's no problem with children in the rear seat. I wasn't able to find one locally at that time to test fit. Found one with everything I liked at CarMax. Paid to have it shipped but didn't have to purchase. At the test drive we learned how it's certainly a compromise for a family. Once the baby seat is forward facing, it'll become much easier. Well, easier at least.
