I Drive keeps re-booting

Since last night (when my wife! Pressed an unknown button on the I-drive)
The whole system keeps switching off and re-booting every 5 minutes, wiping all memorised phones, pre-sets.....everything!
Has anyone come across this before?
Anyway of self fixing, if not it's to the dealer next week, Thanks in advance

Not sure what's going on !
Sorry to hear about this too -
But I am not the only one who blames his wife for everything

Try disconnecting battery for a few seconds or more
Obviously a quick trip to deal will take care of it

There is not a button that does that to the iDrive. There's a reset procedure involving three buttons pressed in a sequence, but that cannot be done on mistake and resets the iDrive once.

Sounds like a faulty CIC unit, and needs to be replaced. The dealer ship and confirm and or diagnosis it further..

Thanks, I'm close to break in service anyway so I'll get both done.

Yes, but if you're correct, then he can't blame his wife anymore.
