[turb0mike] Back On The Track… FINALLY!!!

Car is finally back together and working absolutely flawlessly. Decided to go to Josh's Speeddistrict event at Willow Springs Int. Raceway on the 5th.

First time on a track with the AST 4250s and 560/900 spring rate and rear aero. I spent practically the whole day trying to dial in the suspension. The RS3s on my car had been sitting outside for the past year and are almost 2 years old, so the grip really wasn't there. Rear camber was only at -1.4* and they were rolling on themselves like crazy. I had no grip going around turn 3 & 6 so I lost A LOT of speed. I also think 900 is too high of a spring rate in the rear. I had to turn the rebound way down to compensate for lack of camber. BTW, my lines are shit too so please bare with me, haha.

I ended the day with a 1:34.2, which is my quickest "recorded" lap time. Overall I had a great time and I will be shaking off the rust this weekend at Buttonwillow.

Well done. I wouldn't be so critical of my line if I were you: you were a lot tidier than others that I have seen on that track. Based upon the sound of the in-car, I seems that your rear end is bouncing around through certain corners. Do you have too much spring for your dampers?

She was ripping very well. I had a couple faults because I ran 110 and the TMAP sensor came loose. Other than that she was idling great and pulling hard.

Sorry I didn't make it super clear. The coils and spring rates were relatively knew. Coupled with my EXTREME lack of camber for turns 3 & 6 I had to turn down the dampening on the right rear so the rear would flex a little bit more to compensate for the lost grip. Thus the bumpiness. Still have a lot of dialing in but thank you for the kind words on the lines!

Awesome! Happy to hear the car is doing well and running great again. What is your suspension setup? Also, how did you time compare to others at the event? Thanks.
