run flat tire repair
i know my Pirelli oem run flats can not legally be repaired. I had two run flats with nails or screws in them. I had to air up every two days. I am waiting on my velgen wheels so I got some plugs and plugged two of my tires. NO more air leaks and have driven 1500mile so far on them.
if you are in a pinch it is worth a shot. |

I wish more folks would read this thread. I have the exact same kit in both of our BMWs. Used it once already on my wifes RFTs with perfect results, even after 20k miles. When done right that plug will easily last the life of the tire and there is no performance or safety degridation.
It's amazing how many folks fly into a panicked frenzie when they get a puncture in the RFTs and instantly think they have to buy new rubber. Crazy!! |

I wish I had known. I already purchased new tires and wheels. I was going to anyway but I thought my runflat was done due to air leak. So I have ordered new tire and Velgen wheels. Oh well. Lessoned learned. I put a kit in both my cars and from know on will be patching my tires.
