Alzor wheels from tirerack

Interested in these for many reasons including price. However, curious about quality.

Anyone know the manufacturing technique? Forged, casted, etc?

Anyone have experience?

They should be a cast wheel at that price. You are not getting into a forged wheel on a 19" under 800-900/wheel and that would be a cheap forged wheel. No experience with this company, but seen them on a few. At that price better off looking at Vossen or many others.

Stupid question: which method are the BMW OE wheels constructed?

How about VWR?

They have both cast and forged. Only the 405 wheels are forged. Most and I say most like 98% of the people you see have cast wheels just because forged wheels are so expensive. Like I said 900 would be for a cheap forged wheel and most average 1600-2000 a piece. I would stay clear of gravity casting as they tend to be brittle because there tends to be more air bubbles than low pressure drawn casting. Then next step up is forged. With that said there are tons of good cast wheels.

Not sure about VWR. Best thing would be to contact them. I read their site and they did not specify. Typically if the wheel is forged, the companies blast that until you are sick of hearing it on their site because everyone knows forge is the highest quality.

Most Alzor wheels are low pressure casts, as stated by Dippydo this is the method for a majority of the factory BMW wheels. Most of your VMR, Vossen, MRR, etc wheels are also going to be low pressure casts.

Pricing is for a set of four of the wheels drexplode linked. Vossens run about that per wheel.

Thanks James, when I was on the site it said quantity 1, so I was confused as my 20" Vossens were cheaper than that...LOL...That is a great price for a set of 19s.

One as in one set

I have pretty much all of our aftermarket wheels priced as sets on the site, makes grabbing quotes easier for our sales reps (and for me lol)

Thanks James for the information! I've narrowed down my choice to a set of ALZOR or VMR from a competitor...

Question, is ALZOR affiliated with ECS Tuning? When I try to find their website, I am directed to ECS tuning...

Yes, Alzor wheels is now one of our house brands. The website needs love and until we (by we I mean our designers and programmers) get to it we've directed pretty much all of it's traffic to our site where you can find install shots and current available stock.

VMRs are great wheels as well, the VMR V710 and V718 share similar design ques with the Alzor 030s and all look great on F30s!
