New E92 335i owner-Rear ended after 16 days
Hey Guys,
Just bought a new to me 2007 e92 335i. I love the car and couldnt be happier. It drives like a dream. I had a srt-4 till early december, but a young girl was nice enough to total me. 16 days after buying my 335i, a uninsured motorist rear ended me. Rear bumper has to be replaced and a left rear quarter has a small outward dent in it. Im thinking about paying the extra and getting a msport bumper for it and over time adding the other msport pieces. Will I have any fitment issues getting the oem msport when coming from a regular e92? Im assuming the exhaust is in the same exact spots on both Its a early 2007, pre lci model. ps. Iv already caught the bug and planning mods. Was planning to order a jb4 and a new downpipe in a month or so. Already have the dci in it. |

Is it just me or does every 335i get hit in that EXACT spot? Mine has a licenceplate screw imprint from my retarded neighbour, and my buddy has a dent there from a hit and run...

get that checked out cause if that rippled your 1/4 panel like that you want to see what damage is under all of that....it's often more than the cosmetic is appears

3spyku-Nope. Not in the least. Maybe a 3-4 tops. Girl that totaled my last girl was decentish though.
Grassfeeder-Brought it by the bodyshop yesterday after work and that guy said hed check it out. He thinks its just cosmetic and will go back to normal once he remove the rear and pushes it out. |

Not even close.
OP, just order the JB4 and DPs. The rule around here is performance over cosmetics.

E90mark-Only thing coming out of my pocket is the 250 deductible for uninsured motorist. One of my clients employees told me today that I should go shop hunting to see who will not make me pay them the deduct if i let them do the work or to pick a shop depending on who will eat the msport cost difference between that bumper and the old one, but right now im thinkin ill leave it where i first chose since everything iv seen about the shop is good.
Azurehaze-I set aside all the money from the insurance payout of my last car to invest, since i can make the payments on this without trouble. Had already decided a grand or so of it would go to jb4, most likely catless downpipe, and maybe aluminum pedals or new floormats. I think the last owner tossed the oems, since these dont have the bmw logo on them and the drivers side one moves around. John 070-Your the second person to tell me that. I didnt even notice they werent the oem ones when i purchased it. |

I asked the shop owner, who did the initial inspection, and he said he didnt think there would be, but he would check it out anyways. Seems like a trustworthy guy(i hope). Id be pissed if it was worse than it looks. As much as i hate to have an accident on its carfax, i really dont want to go car shopping again. Finding a e92 with stickshift that I liked and in a price I wanted was hard as hell in a short period of time.

Ok, been looking at my options for rear bumpers from getbmwparts.com
My three options are OEM Aero Bumper http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 Msport http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 LCI http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 Is there any plus to getting the Msport or the LCI, which come with the diffusers? I like all three so im kinda in the air of which to go with if the shop can get me one of these for a little extra(or another shop if need be). |

The Sedan wheels don't look bad at all.. I always liked that style.. They are probably on there from the previous owner.
