I put a new battery in my girl's 2007 328xi but the car is still acting as though the failing battery is installed (rear defrost & REST won't work & fan won't blow as hard as usual) so I'm guessing I need to register the battery. I bought a battery that was exact model & CCA of original battery.

I downloaded the free software to register but I don't want to drop a lot of money on a good cable to register one battery & I am skeptical of the Amazon models b/c apparently only 1 of the 3 types work & there is no way to tell which type you are getting.

I'm located in South Central PA (17102) & will buy you beer or a bottle or whatever you would like (within reason) to let me use your cable to register the new battery.
