Introduction and my project
Hello I am new to the forums.
I currently own a BMW 325i E90 (obvious from my username) and was wanting to get your ideas on rims. I will be opting for black CSL reps as my car is black itself. Is there a recommended place to get these done from your experience as I am going to be doing it at M Style at the moment. These are the ones I'm looking at with the performance (budget) tyres. I will also be dropping it with Eibachs. Will be bumping this thread as I update. |

Are you sure you want to do the black on black look?
It has been fairly played out... Maybe a dark gunmetal would offer a nice contrast. Welcome to the forum mate and will be nice to see your progress |

I'm not a fan of the block black and then contrast, throws me off IMO. |

Plus one on ******** , Chris is a forum sponsor and does special offers for forum members, get in touch through PM
He has a thread on replica 359 wheels on the classifieds section, they r awesome looking CSL Reps with great concave have a look I am not a fan of black on black either, too Gothic IMHO, gunmetal or anthracite a better choice I feel Lastly I won't strongly suggest against running budget tyres, spend a bit more on quality rubber for safety reasons |

As promised, here are the pics:
Finished Very pleased with the facelift look. Next stop will be black rims and a lowering. Bit annoyed with the halogen eyebrow but will be replacing that with a white led bulb next week. EDIT: Sorry for the ballooned pics. Last edited by BMW325iE90; 03-30-2014 at 02:10 PM.. |

I take it these are aftermarket lights as they have an eyebrow, when you said in my post earlier that you done it for £350 i thought its impossible as just the units alone would cost you more than that

I can take a vid if you want to see the lights in action. Anyone know of a place I can get the cheapest 0.01 Concave 3SDM rims in Matt Black? This is what I'm looking at. |

Welcome along. Modding damn addictive but enjoyable, been doing it for years (yes I'm older than you may well imagine but I love it)!the one thing I'd say is if it looks good in your head then as long as you are happy then that's the main thing if you're unsure then there's something in your mind that's not quite right.
I'm on the modding zone again and I'm taking my time mapping out in my head what I want and how everything should look, I've got an idea and one or two little issues aside (front bumper decision and wheels)I know where my car will end up. You can visually make or break a car in many peoples eyes by overdoing a theme, personally like has been said before too much black can visually be too much. If you look for example at the 2 pictures above, although there not the best ones I could of chosen it gives you a simple take why the grey/gunmetal colour can add another dimension to a car but modding as you'll discover is a personnel thing. Best thing and I do this is spend an hour or so downloading E92 pics simply type something like modified e92's or something like that gather a few together then go back and have a look at what's been done I think you'll find it really useful. As your the tyres I'd rather hang on for another 6 or so weeks to ensure that half decent rubber was on the car rather than a budget brand. Enjoy as that's what it's all about Steve |
