Is it worry getting the 5 year service pack ?

Hi guys

BMW offered me the 5 year service pack for £300 ! This excludes ( brakes, clutch bushes etc) but what it covers is oil changes, filters etc .. Basically all the normal service parts

Do you guys think it's worry it ? Please let me know ASAP so I can take it out or not.

Ps I'm keeping the car for another year maybe, but it would be a selling point ? Free servicing until 2019 !!?

Its a no brainer IMO. 2 oil services is all you'd get for £300.

Mines coming up for the brake fluid to be changed on the iDrive menu, and when i phoned my local BMW Dealer, thats covered too.

Does it transfer over to next owner? I'm sure I've read people advertising it does.

£300 is easy to add up with servicing and if it does pass over to new owner, even if you don't make the best of the 5 years, it will make your car more desirable.

Definitely worth it. An oil change is ~£200...

Alright lads ... I finally got the deal "5 years for £320 inc vat"

How I got it - I rang Bmw up as they offered me the service pack when I first took my car in for a service, deal was get it done before my service or else they will not be a me to give me the pack

Spoke to a good chap at the device desk who said he's honor the service pack even after the first service... After a month I got the pack

What it covers ?

- 5 years inclusive service ( Oil service, Oil Top up, Air filter, Oil Filter, Fuel filter,Cabin filter etc, they also mention that they will do any inspections I.E. Vehicle checks free of charge

I guess it's trouble free motoring for me as I have the pack + warranty

Plus when I sell the car it will be a good selling point " free Servicing for at least 5 years "

Is this only available on new cars or is it an offer that's available on AUC cars??

It is an option you tick when ordering the car from new, although if you're vehicle has not yet had its first ever service then you still qualify for it pal

Thanks Kassim, my car is a few services old so I'm out, but looking at it, it does seem like one of the boxes that has to be ticked, defo a no brainer. I'd imagine in a few years time, with labour and parts prices only going to go up, it'll seem an even better decision to get it at the point of sale.

+1 £300 is nothing comparing to if you paid each time at the dealer

I bought my car privately at about 2.5 years old, and it had the service pack from new - I've benefitted greatly from it, I must say - still has 3-4 months on it.

its not free servicing for 5 years its 5 years OR car hits 60k

I had same thing but because of the mileage i do it was free for one year LOL

If you dont do many miles your probably ok, But not such a good selling point if selling car with 55k on it hehe.
