Cheapest place for Bridgestone 19 RF
Hi,
Just seeing if anyone knows the cheapest place to get a Bridgestone 19 RF (255/30).... fitted! My bloody rear has a nail in it & the garage I took it to say they can't repair them....... annoying as it's got loads of tread left! Garage quoted me £280 but I found tyre-shopper can do it fitted for £238 Can anyone beat that? Cheers |

Get a pic up of where the nail is, a lot of garages will bulshit you saying run flats can't be repaired, they can only SAFELY repair the tyre if it hasn't been run flat & compromised the sidewall strength.
I successfully had one repaired last week with a propper plug for £20 & had no issues. |

Try 'The tyre shop' its in Chingford. Great honest guys, they fixed my run flat for £10 a few months back and it hasn't caused me any issues since.

I think you be ok on my winter tyre had one closer to edge then this and had it fixed. That was last winter. When I fitted the winters in December pressure was fine and still holding 3 months on. Want hurt to try put it this way.

it will hurt though if your doing 80+ on the motorway though & you have a blow out due to it being too close to the sidewall.

True but then same could be said on any repair or any tyre. All I'm saying its not that bad and I've had no issues with my repair.
Take it either way. Most places would even consider it as its a RFT but it can be done. If repair is done well it will hold if badly even on middle of tyre you will still loose air. Until tyre is off you want know 100% as it depends at what angle on the inside its come through and how much on the curved part of the inside its on. If only just you shoudl be fine. IMO worth a try if thread on the tyre is good

I've got a spare RE050 RF in that size for sale with decent tread if you're interested. I could post it down to you and you'd have to get it fitted locally.
Let me know if you're interested and I'll get some pictures and measure the tread depth. I've replaced my rears with non-RFTs (fronts to do next week) so this has been in my boot for a couple of weeks. |

Just wouldn't want to advise the OP to get it repaired & then have a blow out causing ££££ of damage or maybe injury. |

I'm taking it to local place tomorrow morning & see if they'll repair it!
I found a guide online with the measurements to do a minor repair...... it's just on the border! I'll know for sure once the tyre is off! |
